During his almost 30 year career dj-ing, producing, label managing and having involvement with the underground house scene there’s not a lot Eddie Richards hasn’t seen or done. One of the first to pioneer the concept of a dj agency, he held residencies at early clubs such as Heaven and Camden Palace in London and was a regular guest at the Hacienda before moving on to be a key figure in the emerging uk tech house scene. Add to that a residency at fabric and remixing duties for acts including Orbital and The Shamen whilst also releasing a string of his own underground classics (as well as the odd chart success -1988’s ‘Acidman’) The term legend, for once, can quite rightly be applied.
